Eddy Current Controls (India) Limited is the pioneers to bring Variable Speed Drive Technology to India. We along with Larsen & Toubro successfully commissioned the first indigenised Helicopter Securing and Traversing System on board INS Gharial in 1992. This was in lieu of the SOFMA Helo Traversing System of DCN, France.
Later in the year 2001, Eddy Current Controls (India) Limited along with Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers Limited successfully completed the Design, Manufacture and Supply of Helo Traversing System on board INS Betwa.
The complete Electrical Work Package consisting of Eddy Current Variable Speed Drive cum Brake Coupling, Control Panel with Electronic Control Module, Control Desk, Portable Control Box with Joy Stick and Rest Station was supplied by Eddy Current Controls (India) Limited.
In 2002, this was followed with the Supply and Commissioning of Helo Traversing System on board INS Beas.
Later in the Year 2004, GRSE along with Eddy Current Controls (India) Limited, jointly commissioned Helo Traversing System on board LSTL War ships INS Shardul, INS Kesari and INS Airavat.
The following year, we associated with M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited for Manufacturing, Supply and Commissioning of Helo Traversing System on Board P 15 Class Stealth War Ships of INS Shivalik, INS Satpura and INS Sahyadri.
In the Year 2008, Eddy Current Controls associated with Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers Limited for the Design, Manufacture, Supply and Commissioning of Helo Traversing System on board NOPL Vessels of Goa Ship Yard INS Saryu, INS Sumitra and INS Sukanya.
